Engine Types 1Nz-Fe And 2Sz-Fe

Hi to all,

Does the 1FZ-FE 1.5vvti engine share any common features with the 2SZ-FE 1.3vvti?

The reason I ask is that I can get hold of a Toyota service manual for a 2007 Yaris but it only includes the 1NZ-FE 1.5 vvti engine, all the other parts of the car seem to be the same as a 2007 Yaris fitted with 1.3 vvti 2sz-fe

Totally different engines I'm afraid, but the manual is very useful for most other parts e.g. bodywork,electrics, suspension etc. It's based on the American version of the Yaris which also covers a saloon (sedan) variant, it is also quite handy as Haynes have yet to publish a workshop manual for the Mk2 and I don't expect to see one until 2012 at the earliest as they normally produce one for the outgoing model.( I have owned Toyota's since 1987 and this has been the case since then!)

Thanks for that, we are buying a Yaris soon as a stable mate for the Avensis so I will get the disc, pity about the engine info though as that would have been very helpful, I assume there are non available for the 2FZ-SE engine then.

I already have a disc for the Avensis and yes it's a very handy thing to have.
