Drivable Distance / Range

Hello everyone

Bit puzzled at the moment.

When I went to put diesel in the RAV yesterday it showed a range read out of 71 miles.

I put in £20 of diesel & it still showed 71 miles.

Needle on fuel gauge moved to just over half a tank.

After driving around it shows the fuel decreasing, down to 60 miles now.

Any ideas why the range didnt increase on the display when I put the fuel in ???

OK, keep prodding righthand button on instrument binacle 'til range shows [unless it is already showing range of course] then hold it in for a few seconds - it should re-calculate............I think.

Probably because you didn't fill the tank (or at least get it close to full). Not sure it does actually reset with the trip button (mpg and mph do), but then I've never tried it.

I guess you'll just have to fill up as SHCM suggests. Does seem a bit perverse that it can't be/doesn't reset.

Just to let everybody know. Filled the tank up with diesel yesterday.

Gauge now seems to be working & reads 330 miles
