Potholes.

they have started repairing the potholes out in the sticks here in norfolk.

they are putting chippings in the holes with no tar and no rolling, and so the first vehicle to drive over them spreads these chippings all over the place. what a waste of time.

wife was talking (and can do that very well) to a women who asked these road repsirmen (i use the term lightly)why when repairing a hole, why they dont do the same to others close by.the answer was that the holes they do repair have a priority.

can you beleave it.

We'd been yelling at our council to fill in 3 massive potholes in our street for 2 years, but about a month ago someone went and somehow nailgunned some thick metal plates into the road over two of them

At least the holes won't re-appear until the metal rusts then! :yahoo:

There is a road nearby that has steadily got worse over the past 2 or 3 years and the council will just not do anything with it, its that bad we now totally avoid it and travel the extra 2 miles to get to our destination rather than damage the cars
