Gen 7 Fuel Flap Flapping?!

My father's fuel flap has started flapping! The lower part of the hinge housing has snapped, so it looks like a new one is needed before it falls off.

Is it a common problem, is replacement a simple case of drilling out the rivets, and can anyone suggest where I may be able to get one?!

Yes..it's a common fault on the 7.

yes..you will need to drill out the rivets, you can then either use stainless steel nuts and bolts or rivet the replacement on.

Look on eBay for 7's that are being broken for parts.

Will look on eBay. If anyone is breaking a gen7 in the meantime, which has a decent fuel flap (ideally in silver) please let me know!
