Rav4 T180

I am hoping that someone can give me a sensible valuation on my T180.

It is a 2007 (07) Model in the metallic Green(Yew Green) I think this is the best colour.

It has Full TOYOTA service history and I have the extra manufactures warranty until May 2012. Also above the standard equipment it has Rear Parking sensors,Premium Stereo with Toyota multi changer under driver seat and Toyota Sub Woofer under rear seats. All the usual tempramental parts changed under warranty inc - Satnav/CD player (Screen went!)Seat base on drivers side (slight tear appearing)Cat converter and EGR valve.

Leaving the best until last - All BSR's removed and TOYO open highway tyres x 4 fitted - Also spare wheel ( BSR Removed too!) I have all the BSR's.

Mileage is 64K.

I am considering an automatic with the same BHP so might look at Landcruiser/Range rover TD6 etc.

Any help would be appreciated. Mark.

Mark,

Nice car and good luck with selling it. Can I have your honest reading of benefits of "normal" tyres in general running terms? There are a lot of us interested in your reply.....

Hi Big Kev,

This is a "well trodden path" regarding the BSR System.

I have provided alot of stuff on the forum about the dreaded system!

Please check my other postings by clicking on my username. You will find out all you need to now about tyre replacement.

If anyone is interested in a well sorted RAV4 T180 - then this could be the one. Please private email me....have more photo's etc.

Have followed most of your well trodden path and now Pinned posts, but was looking for expansion on....

1. Ride quality....better or same?

2. Road Noise....as above?

3. Handling....as above?

4. Profile....should I stick with 55 profile "come the day", or up them to 60's to cope with the potholes up here?

My RFTs still have life left in them, especially the rears, so I will continue use, but can see end of year change looming.

Big Kev

Hi Big Kev,

Glad you enjoyed my previous posts.

In answer to your questions....

The ride quality is excellent and the road noise (what noise!) is far better than the Bridgestones in my opinion.

The handling has not changed and is still very sharp and precise for an SUV.

With regards to the profile I stuck with the same as I did not want to affect any of the sat nav or speedometer readings etc.

The roads around here are really bad with pot holes etc and the TOYO tyres cannot be faulted.

In all the snow we had it drove better than any 4x4 I have ever owned. Even now they show no signs of wear

If anyone is interested in making an offer email me!

Well I thought I would have had more response on a valuation as there always seemed to be some knowlegeable people on here!

However a local dealer(not Toyota) has offered me £13,000 in part exchange for a Range Rover td6 Vogue (priced £14995).

Looks like it might be going sometime after the 21st March.

If anyone is interested let me know, as it will be on his fourcourt soon at £15,000 ish!

Mark.

I am not trolling, trawling or spamming.

I have a T180 and have posted about it. But I also have an 07 Merc 320cdi and having owned a volvo xc90 and a Landcruiser, I would definately now buy another t180 and another Merc 320cdi. They are different cars that fit different needs. So please at least test drive Merc before you buy somthing else.

Having said this, I do not promote advertising but have you tried the annoying company that "buys any car". I bought my Merc in November as a comfortable family car. My wife owns the T180 and commutes with it. As I may have to move shortly to Germany with my company, I looked at selling the Mercedes (my wife will not part with her T180 so we may have to invest in some new LHD headlights, unless the T180s can be adjusted?) with that particular company that buys any car. I was offered only £500 less that what I paid for it 3 months earlier from a dealer. So I not advocating using them but it may be worth a look, as they seem to buy 4x4s at a premium and you will probably get a much better price than any PX deal. Then go with cash to the dealer and put you haggling head on.
