How Do I Get My Sat Navfrom Japanese To English?

i recently purchased a 2004 Avensis saloon from japan which has a sat nav buillt into the dash board.the problem i have is that it is all in japanese and it has a remote control button near the gear lever which is also in japanese.Can anyone assist please? gerald.

From what I've read on this forum I think you are stuck with Japanese....

Unless someone else on here can come up with something and the dealer can't help.....

Your car was built for the domestic market (Japan) You cannot change the language option on it I;m afraid

Try ejecting the DVD and re-insert it, if it reset the whole unit then you may get option of English. Unfortunately the chances are slim as car is for Japanses market.

Kingo is correct.... I came across this problem a number of times when I had my 350Z. A few guys bought a JDM model and they could not be coverted over to English

Sadly this is an expensive outlay to rectify
