Rattling Sound (Near?) The Engine (D-Cat)

Hello,

at the beginning of the year i have bought my 2006/D-CAT as a used car (with 108 000kms).

after cca 2000kms it starts to rattle on the drivers side, somewhere on the left side of the engine. (after another 2000kms driven - now, it is a bit louder.

1. The mechanics (not from the toyota) told me, that it is dual mass flywheel. is it possible? the engine has 110 000 kms now. is it possible that they are true? (they hasnt removed the chain cover - read no.2)

2. My friend told me that he has the same issue on his ford c-max with chain also. in his case it was hydraulic pretensioner, which wasnt tensing the chain on the engine and therefore the chain was scratching its cover...

so what is more probable? i am afraid, that the mechanics will replace the DM FW (1000 euro) and it will continue rattling...

thanks for all the replyes!

i can add, that when i press the clutch, the sound will dissapear.

as i said, i will past the video during weekend.

EDIT: no time to do the video, but i was asking three indempendent service technics, they told me that it is no chain, just the dualmas flywheel, which will go to the heaven after 5 - 10 000 kms.
