hi guys.

anyone know what sort of things i need doing in my next service aside from all usual fluid changes..

i have a 98 sr starlet.

51000 miles ish!

do any major things need replacing at all?

got a guote from toyota £350.00 for the whole lot???

seems expensive?

oh forgot i was told by a mate that either the timing or cam belt needs replacing at this service?

i know nowt so any help much appreciated!

dont take it to toyota..not unless u want the service book stamped utherwize ur payin throgh the nose....

find some greaze monkey to do a side job fo 30 nicker..

its a major service the belt needs changed along with all the filters ect..your only payin a fraction of the price doin it this way

urm id be a bit cautious about anyone willing to change your timing belt for £30. Get it wrong and u could cause damage to ur engine.

how much do u think mechanics ern an hour paseogt4...

standard rate is £35

any qualified mechanic would do a side job if they had tools..

so £30 dosent seem to unreasnable if customer supplys parts does it...

how much would u charge if you were a mechanic paseo gt4

we charge £70 to do timing belts, but ok i see what u mean if u were moonlighting :)
