Thinking Of Getting Aygo, Need Advice!

Recommended Posts

Hi, my dad is thinking of getting a toyota aygo/C1/107 - i know from personal experience that there is a problem with the standard clutch on the aygo and i assume that this extends to the c1 and the 107 too? hes thinking of getting a 2007 model with low milage - what would you recomend about the clutch? only but one of these cars if its had a new one fitted? or haggle lots off if it hasnt cause will all models below 2007 be affected? thanks

I believe the clutch was changed to the bigger 190mm version in 2009 so you would need to check if it was replaced at last service. The smaller clutch was rather soft but as with any car it depends on how it was driven... It could still be in very good condition if it's not been abused. A new clutch fitted may cost around £200-£300 depending on where you go, so if you suspect it's knackered then there may be a haggling opportunity. The other thing to check for is leaks!

Hope that helps.

James.

awesome! Thanks ! What about the biting point? Because I recently got my clutch replaced on my aygo and the bite point has risen very quickly, is that just a characteristic of aygos? Hows yours?
