Hi to all,

I have been told today by a Toyota dealership that headlights misting up due to condensation WILL NOT be covered under warranty on any model, the only time they will be changed is if they actually are filling up with water! :sneaky2:.

Kool, very simple, pour some H2O (water) in it and take it to different dealer.

If they cant help you due to their fault, then do as Romans do

Headlights mist up beciause there's a leak.

Headlights fill up with water because there's a leak.

Now if neither Toyota or the dealer can't tell the difference then it another poor show from Mr T.

When is Toyota going to wise up and stop their reputation becoming worse than it already is.

What once was an excellent marque has sadly slid further down the customer care ratings.

They should remember the old adage - " when something is good customers tell their friends but when things go bad they tell the whole world"

Not alas surprised by your post, All warrantee work has to be first costed and submitted to Toyota Technical to get authorization to get the job done. This bunch drive a hard bargain and if the fix does not work refuse to pay the bill , This leaves the Dealer out of pocket. I also note the article in the Times this Sunday regarding Toyota warrantee work,

I suspect in this case another sly move by the Toyota Technical Dept.

My rear offside lamp has condensation in it that I noticed has go worse this morning!... But I'm guessing that even if it had water in it that it wouldn't be covered under any warranty as its on a 2007 plate?????

correct, it's not even covered by Toyota's official extended warranties - only the original.
