or - you could fit a set of 145/80-15 tyres which are the same overall diameter as the standard tyres and get better economy too because there's 40mm less of tyre width to cause rolling resistance on the road.....

Just had a thought....

The spare wheels run at 60psi - so you could fit four of those and get a great economy improvement!!!

The handbook says not to use more than 1 spare tyre, I guess that's due to the narrow width.

ok guys i have no manual and my door doesnt say anything with a sticked basically we are two pages in this thread and there still is no definitive answer to my question:

My yaris is 2001,petrol, 998cc engine does anyone know the presures? cheers

Run 34/32 and you will be fine.

They'll be on a sticker in the glovebox.

The 2001 Yaris was 33psi front and 30 psi rear. I spent eight years checking ours at least once a month, so I know them well....

There should be a plate at the base of the B pillar, visible when one opens the front door. On UK models it is on the driver's side.
