Im currently looking for a yaris... probably something between 2001-2004 based on my budget.

My question is what are the differences in trim/finish between all the different models?

Of the many out there ive seen GS, T2, T3, T-Sport,SR, CDX...the list goes on.

Im not sure how many more badges there are but could someone explain the differences between them all and the betters ones to go for?

or does anyone know of a resource that will tell me the difference between them?

Thanks

Rob

The original range was S, GS, GLS, CDX.

The S was basic. The GS was OK but the GLS and CDX all had a good standard of equipment such as height adjustable drivers seat, etc. When we were looking for our first Yaris, I decided that I wanted GLS or above....

The CDX got aircon and a cd player as the top of the range.

There wass also a T Sport with a 1.5 engine that was never available in any other trim.

The later models went T2, T3, SR, T Spirit.

T2 was basic - you missed out on things I consider essential like a full set of air bags....

T3 and above are solid good specs. The SR was a T3 with some sporty trim added. The T Spirit was a T3 with some luxury trim added.

If you go onto Toyota's web site in the used car section, they have archive information by year on each used model, so you can see the models and their specs by year....

Hello Rob

The link above only shows a Yaris Verso of the age 2001-04..

But I have a 2003 brochure and detailed spec sheets downloaded from the Toyota website in 2005.. sad I know.

If you are really interested I could scan the several pages I have and upload them.. Covers models 2003 (the Mark1 facelift with teardrop headlamps) to c 2005.
