Bumper Plastic Type?

Our Corolla Verso has a split in the front bumper.

I was planning on drilling a hole at either end of the split, using some David's bumper filler from Halfords, use some plastic primer, ordinary primer and then paint in the appropriate colour.

I wonder - does anyone know:-

1) what type of bumper plastic is the oem bumper, and will the David's filler work ok on it?

2) Is the plastic primer required on top of the filler, or would an ordinary primer do?

I saw Edd China doing a bumper repair on a BMW 840 with a 2-part plastic filler. Anyone know what that stuff's called?
