Elec/window

I Got My Daughter a 03 plate 1,000cc yaris, and found the Passanger Window not working.

I tried both the button on the drivers side and the Passanger button, someone told me to reset it i should wind the drivers window down count to 10 then wind it up count to 10 then try the passangers window ,but it did not work.

I took both Switch plates off to see if they were conected right, then tried passanger window motor plug to see if it was home and found it ok too.

looking at the wifes mazda 3 manual, i see that there are 2 fuses for the front windows,is this the case with the Yaris too.

If so where are the fuses, i have looked at the fuse box next the the battary, and did not see anything marked windows.

I have looked under the glove box as told there was a box there but could not find it.

Could anybody tell me where the other fuse boxes are, and if the fuses if there are two are marked or not.

or if there is any common faults with windows on the model.

As i just have older Toyotas like 1972 & 74 Celicas ,i have never worked on Elec/Windows or all this Mod/Con stuff.

Are you sure you haven't pressed the "window lock" switch on the drivers door panel? If that switch is depressed, it stops all the other electric windows working except the drivers window....

As 'alfiejts' points out it is highly likely the window 'lock' button has been depressed. Should you need the fuse box (I very much doubt it in this case) it's situated to the R/H side of the steering wheel above the bonnet release mechanism.

Do you have any pics of your cars on the celica forum? (I haven't seen any classic celica's for years!)
