Toyota Emina 4Wd Question

Hello

I just bought myself a very nice condition Estima. It is a 2.2TD, auto. It has 216,000 miles on, but it had the headgasket and head replaced in January 2010 (got the paperwork), as well as other various bits of paperwork. Only cost £700, which is great.

I have 2 questions:

1) The car's Battery drains overnight. AN auto electrician said he can try find what the trouble is (£40/hr). Dunno what the problem is - the radio only plays stereo intermittently, and the dash dial lights also come on and off intermittently. Not sure if that is a contributing factor? Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? I disconnect the Battery overnight and connect it again in the morning - it starts on the button!

2) How do I know if my car is the 4wd version or 2wd?

I kind of thought they were all 4WD but not really sure.

On the Battery drain, when the engine work was done then maybe a wire was damaged or a connection corroded. Checking circuits with a multimeter to find one where there is a drain..... might be as cheap using the auto electrician?

It turns out there's nothing wrong with the Battery - or anything!

I have a relatively new 330Ci BMW - which is quite eager to start... With the bus, I just need to turn the key ALL THE WAY and hold it there for a couple of seconds - then the van starts! Been running brilliantly all week!
