Just bought my first and hopefully NOT my last Celica! Just posted in new members section a little bit about it! But I am so chuffed!

Anyway the car has a 5th gear problem........seemingly she doesn't have one?? So what is the best way to improve this please guys and gals? New box?? OR a replacement part? I have the technology to repair her (A young 22 years old mechanic who is a wizz with cars!) and not a lot of money! Added to which I live in France (Ever bought ANY car spares in France?) and so now need advice as to what way is best to proceed? Replace the box complete? OR a new 5th gear/sleeve/synchro/whatever??

Advice is good as is GOOD advice so please advise away.
