Rav4 Diesel Leak In The Engine Bay

Hi,

My 2002 D4D Rav4 has developed a leak in the engine bay which I am told is diesel. I thought first off it was gear oil but the garage have informed me that the fluid is clear and not the right colour for gear oil!

Anyway they are trying to sort it for me but I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas as to what might be the cause. The car recently has started to make the funny orca sound that is on Youtube....check it out if you have the same problem apparently it is the fuel filter cap.
