Removing The Cd Player From A Toyota Auris Tr

Hi,

Been watching the forums for a while as we've owned a Toyota Auris TR 2007 from new. Great car, but now looking to make a small modification!

We want to replace the CD player with a custom-built "Car PC".

My first question is how would I go about removing the CD player cleanly? I'm sure I can work it out if needed but if anyone has any pointers that would be fantastic.

My second question - possibly more important - is what are the side-effects of removing the CD player? Will is cause any problems with the imobiliser? My partner seems to think that the imobiliser uses the CD player to re-enter the code, but I haven't got any knowledge of this and could be completely irrelevent.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone has on this!

Zetor - Thank you!

I repair laptops as a business and it's the same sort of deal - find out which panels release the other bits. But my Google-ing had failed me! Thanks again!
