Hello,

I own a 1994 Toyota Previa 2.4 GL Petrol (UK - not a Japenese import)

I drove it this morning and noticed the radio flick on and off for a few seconds, then further on it turned off.

On investigation I have lost the radio, electric windows, sunroof, clock, demister (Blower), cigarette lighter, brake lights and tailights (when the lights are switched on).

It came back on again for around 5 seconds - by then I turned round and came back home.

I had a look around the connections at the front but couldn't find anything obvious so I called the AA.

They came and checked the fuses at the front and the ones inside above the radio in the large fuse compartment.

He then proceeded to dismantle the area below the fuses, radio out, etc to gain access behind to look at the plugs that connect to the main fuse box.

He found that there were 4 fuses with no feed going to them but was unable to diagnose the problem.

He has connected the brake and tailights via wire tails coming from other fuses and he has connected a 30A fuse across both headlamps so I was able to use the car.

I have found a thread on a website which goes back to 2007 who had exactly the same problem but there was no conclusive result.

I would be most grateful if you are able to let me know if you have heard of this fault on Previa's before.

Many thanks,

John
