I have recently traded in my 2005 XT5 and are now the proud owner of a 2007 XTR with leather, does anyone know if heated seat pads can be retro fitted to the car as my wife is complaining about having a cold bum...also are the 2.2 diesel engines in the 4.3's more noisy than the older 4.2's

The good lady can indeed have a warmed posterior  You need part# PZ4AG-19060-87

If you search TOYOTA AIM

You will see what is involved [file too big to upload here]

No idea about relative engine noise but there will be others along who have experience of both motors.

The 2.2 diesels have a pronounced knock especially when cold. You can partially reslove it with branded fuel.

Kingo's your man for genuine parts or you could go with aftermarket such as THIS

Hoovie - one of our forum members fitted seat heaters to his RAV. I know he wrote up his experience and published it on here so it might be worth a trawl through his posts. I'm guessing, but I think it was about 2 years ago.
