Hi anyone had a problem with condensation forming on the inside of the rear light clusters of the Gen 3.

Depends on what you class as condensation. Is it full on dripping condensation then you have an issue. If it's just a little steaming up in a corner every now and then, then I wouldn't worry.

I have this problem. Was in at the local dealer about something unrelated. Introduced to the new service manager. I think that things are going to improve on that front. There was plenty of room for that improvement.

If he and his reception staff can come up to the standard of the men in the workshop it can only be for the good.

Mentioned the condensation to the new service manager. He spoke in terms of Toyota applying a "10 minute test" in respect of all light condensation issues. It goes like this. Turn your lights on for 10 minutes. At the end of this period if the condensation is still there light units will be replaced. If not it will be left to see if it gets worse.

Mine has done it from time to time - the spot is in the corner away from the rear lights and is about the size of a 50p. It appears in damp weather and as it's hardly noticeable I'm not bothered. My gf's IQ has similar condensation too. Must be a Toyota thing?!?

Hi J2d I will do the 10 minute test can't see it working as the rear lights are LED so very little heat given out but worth a try thanks.
