Running A Cable From The Passenger Compartment To The Battery

As I sometimes don't use my RAV for several weeks at a time I am finding that the Battery is going flat. Therefore, after searching this forum and finding good reviews of the Ctek Battery chargers, I purchased one together with a comfort connector which can be fitted in a spare switch bay in the dash and gives a visual indication as to the charge of the Battery and also provides an easy way to connect the charger.

However, what I thought would be a simple case of pushing the cables through an existing grommet in the bulhead has turned out to be somewhat more tricky as the grommets appear to be sealed with some sort of resin (presumably to seal the hole).

Can anyone sugest an easier method of routhing the cables through the bulkhead, preferably, without having to drill any holes?

Thanks

Have a look at the instructions for running a 12S supply in techdoc site.

Maybe this:

Tow bar kit

It's relatively easy to feed through a 12V feed on a 4.3, but I never did one on a 4.2.

just a bit of patience etc. I have run cables through the bulkhead for my extra lights switches. Use a bit of stiff wire first as a 'mouse' and then a drawwire. It does mean that you need to be abvle to hang upside down in the most ridiculous positions. Probably why I can barely walk now !!
