Model Numbers

Morning all

While researching prices for discs and pads all round for my 53 plate 2ltr Petrol Avensis T Spirit I've come across many model numbers and codes such as T22 and T25 to name just 2.

Can anyone suggest what model/engine numbers i would need for my model as there are so many derivatives out there. D4D's and 1.8's seem a lot more common on parts websites and date of manufacture too. I need 03 onwards, right? When did this model change in terms of parts ordering? I just want to make sure I'm ordering the right things at a cheap and reasonable price. So far the info on this site has been invaluable, thanks everyone.

Al

I would think that a 53 plate is probably a T25, see http://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12219&view=findpost&p=87008

So is yours a 2.0 petrol?

The more info that you give the easier that it is for people to help you.

Also many parts sites these days will let you enter your car reg & they check against the DVLA (afaik) database.

The other problem you may find is that you'll need to know the size of your front discs.

I have a 2.0 and all the websites say I need 280mm discs, whereas I actually have 295mm discs on mine.

That's not helpful if you want to do the job yourself is it? Where do you measure to check? Is 295 mm the standard or is it 280?

I thought by entering your reg no. Then there would be no confusion.
