On a good day, the car's worth £3K max. How someone can ask £6K (which is 06 plate GT money) is totally beyond me.

Thanks for the input lads, but isnt this supposed to be a rare import edition too? with the superstut and aero edition TRD kit?

Whats so different and special about the latest GT models? out of interest?

The main problems with that celica is that its a non uk car and its rare, so if you lets say needed a new bumper, I suspect you'll either struggle to replace it or it'll cost you an absolute arm and a leg. Also I doubt it'll be worth half that once you've bought it. A celica GT will provide the same performance, will suffer neither of the above and won't cost much more than that

If you like it enough for those points to be irrelevant then yes you should buy as I have no doubt it will be a good car, just for the money, you can get a better car and that's better supported, that's all

Good post, reidy.

Buying a rare car is fine until you have a problem. Where are you going to get spare parts for the super strut suspension? Imports also attract an extra hike in insurance premiums, and I don't think they come with a factory fitted alarm..so don't qualify for Thatcham Cat 1.

I'll agree the TRD Bumper is rare, but they are still available to buy new. It would have to be a very nice 200BHP TRD Sports M to be worth the asking price.

HTH :)

Well 5200 had been agreed and I'm pleased with that, I hate having something the same as everyone else. But thanks for the input

Iv just checked autotrader and there are soooo many 'normal' celicas around that price which are just basic with similar mileage but they just blend in with the rest of the bore! Check it out, youl see boring boring then stand out white jdm beast :)
