today i split the pipe going from the actuator to the vsv and blocked both ends up, from what ive read this is supposed to give you more boost in 1st and 2nd? ive just brought it for a run and its barely getting up past 0.7-0.8 in any gear, feels way slower than it was before, am i missing something or doing something wrong?? its on a st205

you will now have 2psi less boost in 3,4 and 5th gears. the vsv bleeds boost to increase it in later gears

Basically you need a boost controller to take advantage of the mod you have done otherwise like chris says its a disadvantage without the boost controller.
