Yup, air filter, spark plugs, ELF oil and oil filter, no petrol filter tho or injectors, don't know anything about those,

Petrol filter depends on how many miles yours has been driven already.

Injectors : nobody would change them as a preventive measure.

They could cause higher usage of they don't spray well any more.

On board consumption meter : I think the aygoX is rather accurate about this. More than my auris f.e.

I doubt toyota calibrates them to all different tyre sizes.

Sometimes mine is spot on and only a maximum deviation of about 0,3 liter has occurred. That's, indeed, max 7 percent deviation.

lets see in summer  if it can break the 70mpg figure.. it's been very windy and blizzard conditions last week.

something else i notice is when in town the mpg stays amazing..sips fuel in traffic.

the 2022 kia stonic gt-line 120bhp mild hybrid we had was dreadful on fuel. 40mpg.

For the record my sister's Peugeot 108 1.0 toyota engine!!, that does over 50 mpg and it does mainly local trips so very happy with that according to her posh MK2's has fuel computer, 1 of many extra features her Mk2 has over our Mk1, but I'm not jealous really.

I might check that, i've seen a few vids on how to clean them, but i can't find spare seals and the cleaner kit here where i live and i don't buy stuff online, my only bet is if someone else boguht is and is selling it on local sites, cause 45mpg is nowhere close to all you guys , but i'll wait on that until i use at least half a tank on longer trips to see if it's just the city that's killing the mileage

If your car doesn't start badly, engine runs smooth and normally, has enough power, no unusual smoke.. I would leave it like it is and not bother.

It's just an idea but if no other symptoms show up for bad working injectors, it's probably just the cold drives and city traffic that is f*** your mpg up.

Calculated your consumption : 45 mpg UK is 5.2 liter per 100 km.

Ouch !!! That is normal for city use and even low.

Some short rides i do with cold engine, I get less than 20 mpg.

The best result i ever had with warm engine,  no stopping, just smooth riding was 88 mpg UK/ 3,2 liter per 100 km.

Your mpg on 1 tank of petrol will be a mix of all different drives like this.

45 mpg is not a worrying petrol consumption if you say yourself you mainly do city driving.

Just imho.

I am not a specialist.

i'm getting 6.28 l/100km on google, you sure you didnt use US mpg ?

But understood, i'll go on a few long drives if i don't find a job soon and see how much i can get on longer rides 😃

Sorry if I got the wrong miles.  I am calculating in l/100 km.

Try to go somewhere ... start your ride with warm engine. Around 50 mph...  it should do less than 4l / 100 km if it's not a completely worm out car that has +200.000 km.

Try to ease down on the throttle and read a bit about hypermiling. You don't have to follow it meticulously...  just get the ideas to accompany you on your ride. Good luck !

cruize control is the way i get 60 mpg plus uk gallons.

car is still sitting at 4.4l per 100km's about 60 mpg. being a cight tunt helps maximize mpg.

Never heard of hypermiling but now that i've read about it i do all of those lol, my car is empty, tyres cheked every 2 weeks, heating as low as possible cause i hate warm and dry air, almost no breaking, windows up , the only thing I like to do is accelerate a bit harder once the car is warm, it could be that's what's making such an impact but my driving is still "slow" and people pass me all the time.

haha like i said i'm mostly in town and don't have cruise anyways but i did 2 long trips  last week , i'm up to 250km on the odometer, let's see where i can get it, the only annyoing thing is i had full bars and they dropped to 5/6 at 213km, last time they dropped to 5/6 at 150km lol

I think the ultimate way to spill petrol is to use the throttle hard followed by breaking hard.

By the way : speeding up for a long distance and using your throttle too little and speed up too slow is also bad for consumption. You need to find the middle a bit.

As long as you manage to use the speed you built up and look a proper few hundred yards in front of you, its gonna be ok 😀

By the way : for hypermiling, see some YouTube videos.

Yes that is a usual trip for me to the nearest supermarket, but the Aygo X is averaging 48.9 mpg (uk) so far and this journey was on the motorway 80% of which was at 50mph because of roadwork speed limits.

No less than 400 miles to the full tank on a 22 AYGO X. What ai have noticed is that is I get less than 60 MPg, I am generally doing something wrong..

The absolute record so far is 78 MPG on a slow moving motorway. Rule of thumb is that if you keep speed 70 you are likely to hit 60 MPG

still sitting at 4.4l per 100km's

warmed up here now plus 5c so back to using the trusty leaf. we have a fixed electric price at 6p kw. to travel 100kms to town and back costs us 1 quid lol. 8 quid in the aygo.

I’m still averaging 5.78L per 100km’s at plus 13°c (48.9mpg uk) which I think is pretty good.

Iv got a 2012 reg  it's done 142.000 odd and hills and dule carageway then A roads  and very steep hill home and we get around 360 to 390  but soon as the last but one box goes out an beeps we fill it up and that's around £45 to £56  the 56 one we had to drive about 20 mile to gas station . As for Shell petrol  with all the additives added you get less petrol . And your car won't run on additives .  So look at it that way .

Makes a difference if you use high octane fuel such as V-Power. Get better power delivery too. highly recommend converting

Its still technically ' running in' so likely to be less economical anyway. Will improve

I am averaging 48.7 mpg overall, I’m pretty happy with that 👍🏻

Ok I just got 5.23L/100km or 54mpg UK , less acceleration and less speed, but i did about 350km of long distance riding this time  😃

597km and still had 2 bars left but it was nearing the end of that 2nd bar.

Normal consumption for the outside temperatures we are having here now. Around 17 degrees.

This trip had many traffic lights and some highway. So it can still be improved. Started off with a warm engine. That was a good thing.

If I am not mistaken this is 61 MPG UK.20240215_1301272.thumb.jpg.6b4a104c511450b8c0248117677e821d.jpg

I'm a gentle driver, so when it arrives (May) hoping to get 60mpg avg in general driving, mostly country routes.  Based on my test drives, I think thats doable.  In comparison to my Yaris Cross hybrid, im averaging about 62mpg overall with that.  It will be interesting to see how close the Aygo X gets to that.

The warmer weather has improved my fuel economy, averaging 50.3 mpg now, I’m happy with that 👍🏻

I was hoping to get 60mpg, and after 5 weeks and 1000 miles, i've averaged 58 mpg.  Considering engine is new and I drive normally in a wide range of conditions, totally delighted with that! 😀

Drive 100 miles a day in mine, mainly dual carriageway averaging 65-70mph. Always returns around 54mpg.

Similar as me that’s what I roughly do.. I rarely go above 70.. mostly cruise at 60 - 65 and always get 50 - 52mpg

I have had 5 Aygos and done more miles in them than most. I have never been disappointed in the Mpg, and know how to drive them to get high mpg and low. I tend to drive mid revs as I would say.. not revving it out and not shifting early.
