Oh sorry mate, but actually my inspiration for this was a Spanish person who's active on the Dutch corolla forum, where I'm also on :P

Hmm, bad postings now, got damage on the corolla :(

A big Toyota jeep came onto my side of the road, I tried to avoid an accident, but he has still hit me at the rear, left side.

Scratches from the rear doors, untill the rear light.

Wheel has also been hit, 2 spokes and the lip...

Person didn't stop, and drove away, so I can pay it all myself :(

aw no, sorry to hear this

is the damage much ?

are they scrapes or are they dents ?

either way its a horrible situation, people who drive off are just gutless pigs :ffs:

hope you get her back looking as good as new lad

Well, at first it looked worse, but with some luck the scratches are not through the paint layer.

Will try with some polishing next week, really hope it can be fixed like that.

And about the person, yea, a real pig :)

Plague on his house! :ffs:

bodywork damage doesn't look too bad however since the wheel took some of the impact i'd definitely take it off and have a good nosey around under neath make sure there's no further damage.

i'm really gutted for you mate, you're car is the best looking on here ...

Posting time again :)

Worked on my damaged rim this morning.

Bought 2 spray cans: bright gold and my car's body colour.

Just to test a little on this damaged wheel, so I can decide in what colour I will get them powdercoated.

The colours:

The alloy in primer:

Painted in the car's body colour:

Tried it in front of the rolla:

What do you guys think?

To be honest, I liked the fact that the rims where silver because they "stood out" from the rest of the car.

If you paint them the same colour, I believe that they will be "lost" in the grey...

Gold might be nice but I am afraid that it might ruin the whole "clean" and serious looks of the car.

As I have written to you in the past, personally I wouldn't mess with the colour of the rims. I love your car the way it is.

I am being 100% honest with you. I could have written to you things like "its great, bravo, I love the new colour" etc. but I suppose you expect from us to be honest.

It looks nice in grey but I must agree that the silver looks better
