Hi everyone

I have 55 reg Toyota avensis recently I have discovered a creek noise coming from my clutch.

It only happens in the beginning when you drive after 10 minutes and after a while it goes away.

When you press clutch it makes a creek noise like something is stuck.

Please helpe me

Thanks

This noise, does it happen when you are actually moving the pedal or does it happen when the pedal is depressed and held down?

The noise happens when the pedal is depressed and held down, this happens only after cars been parked for 10 mins or more

And after driving for 10 mins it's ok

one of two things.....

the clutch fork pivots on a ball these go dry and you get a creaking

or the clutch master is on its way out..

yip replaced many many clutch m/cylinders due to this fault.....book time is 2.6 hours but takes less than an hour to do...

i'm a main dealer licenced toyota tec and mot tester so ive seen lots of comon faults no one else has.....

how does the m/cylinder make a noise, the seals isolate the piston from the bore, unless the seals have completly failed then the m/cylinder would not work anyway.

the master cylinder for the clutch is mounted on the bulk head its the plunger thats attched to the pedal that makes the creaking as you press the pedal.....

end of... im not here to argue ive been a main dealer toyota licenced tec ie i have been trained by toyota and have worked for toyota for many years..i have changed many of these due to this fault....

if it was the slave cylinder then you wouldnt hear any noise and yes when they fail they loose fluid

if thats the case would not a bit of lubrication at the connection cure the fault.i think ive got the message about your toyota experiance.lets face it,youve told us enough times.not trying to be disrespectful here.just interested in this unusual source of a noise.

i fitted many m/cylinders to many different vehicles, including overhauling them with service kits.but cant remember a complaint about a noisey one.but we all learn something new every day, nobody knows it all.

thanks for the explanation.
