this is more a general topic but since i own a seo, so i will ask here first

i did a search and found nothing so i will ask here, pls dont flame

i just had 4 interior neons installed which work terrific (will post pics soon)

however since they did so well, i found few more places inside i want to add

so my question is, does these neons drain lots of power?

if i had them on while i was driving (post mid-night, not many ppl on the road, and i switch off if i drive near other cars just to be safe)

will it drain my Battery too fast?

useful replies only thanks

they do use a LOT of power - and are very dangerous...

LED's are much safer and use less power...

maybe u shud try some of those?

are you serious?? in another automotive forums said each 12" tube only draws 500mA,

not that i know much about physics, is that alot compared to the power supplied from the Battery?

and how is it dangerous?? please explain??!! :help::help::help::help:

neons use hardly any power, wouldnt worry about power drain, 8 neons would still use a lot less power than ur rear heated window.

As long as you use them with the car turned on, the engine will recharge the Battery anyway, so there will be virtually no power "lost." Even if the car's off, GT4's right, they really don't use that much power.

P.S. -why are you so worried about getting flamed? This is a good community with knowledgeable, friendly members!

thanks for all the answers guys...

that's why i love it here..

in the other forums there's always the constant debate about whether one should go bling bling or go vroom vroom

and neons threads are just asking for trouble! yikes...

still trying to get my hands on some checker metal sheets to cut and use as my floor mats

and trying to put in the washer leds myself (this will be funny as i have no idea with wires etc...)

nearly there nearly there.... but damn neons are addictive :P

but yeah my digicam is down atm,

otherwise will show you guys :)
