Aygo Number Plates

I know this might sound simple, but I need to replace my front number plate.

Thinking it would be a five minute job, I went to undue the two mounting screws, only to find they both turn but do not come out.

I have looked inside the engine bay, but there appears to be a beam in that area and I cannot see the back of the number plate screws.

Has anyone successfully completed this task. I can only think I am missing something

keep turning they will come out they are plastic screws

Sometimes it can help to pull on the plate while turning the screws, allowing the threads to "grip" the plastic from the inside.
