I think you'll find that it's of each remaining total so you'll actually pay 100*0.3*0.8*0.85=20.4% of the non discounted max premium.

Just like many other marketing scams like boots having the Xmas stuff go "half price" in the January sale when it was always 3for2 so only ever really cost 67% of the ticket price meaning you only get 25% off the real pre Xmas price.

I know you only put this up for a laugh but it really bugs me how companies try to mislead customers to think they're getting a much better deal than they are.

Sunday rant over...

Aye, an' they're the :censor: that cost the rest of us a fortune! They just dont seem to worry about the consequences like sensible drivers. Ah've got no sympathy for anyone that gets caught with no insurance or road tax.Insurance is there for a good reason. if there's no insurance it usualy follows there's no tax, and that usally means there's no mot.

Agreed, Non-persons that use their cars without insurance should be hung drawn and quartered. I know all the excuses about it being prohibitively expensive for young drivers etc, but as well as no tax, mot, quite often there is no licence either these days...

Those of us that do pay our insurance pay an extra 30 or 40 quid a year to cover these plonkers.... It's not right. I just hope that if I ever have the misfortune to have an accident, it's not with one of them!
