Hybrid Auris

THe GF's Yaris went in for its MOT at the weekend and needed a bit of work which they couldn't do until Monday so the dealer lent us an Auris hybrid for the weekend. A little bit different to the Prius but this was the top of the range with comfy leather seats etc. I hadn't realised that there are now T3 and T4 Auris hybrids as well as T Spirit.

It was really funny having a real handbrake and the drive selector the wrong way round. Took a while to find the cup holders and the CD slot. Nice to see the larger door pockets but the boot was a bit small even with the maximiser. Thought the AUX socket in the glove box was a better idea too (but no USB?). Getting at the one in the Prius is a pain.

GF half looked at trading in the Yaris but decided it would be cheaper to keep the Yaris a bit longer. Maybe a hybrid Yaris in a few years time.

The T3 must be new, not seen the details on that. The USB socket disappears when you add the Sat Nav option. I complained about it missing and Toyota agreed to retrofit one but at the last moment I declined - didn't want my dash pulled apart for no real gain, the bluetooth connection works very well with my iPhone.
