Hi there.

Started the van up this afternoon when i was out and the engine light stayed on resulting in 'go slow mode'.

I had it plugged in at a local garage which read the fault as

P1272 fuel pressure regulator circuit malfunction.

He reset the codes and the fault remained.

This is a 2002 D4D model powervan Short wheelbase.

What are the likely causes of this fault, and any suspected remedial action ?

Thanks in advance.

hello mate

it seems you have comon rail -- so the pressure regulator is a calibrated throttle plug screwed in the rail from one of the edges, but another edge has presure sensor. Firstly check with this pressure sensor el contact with a wire. may be it is dirty giving you a mistery signal to the ECU and on the dashboard. Cheers/Igor
