Hi All,

Has anyone driven to Morocco in a van, car, motorbike from Spain to Tangier,

as i'm wondering what the border control process is, also the required documentation i should take, and finally do i have to buy "local" insurance at the border or will my UK insurance cover this???...

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Only ever been to morocco on me hols a few moons ago and it was to Tangier , i wish you luck cos you'll need it lol , road users over there don't have a clue as to the laws of the road, highway code etc , nearly got killed on my first day crossing the road via a zebra crossing , i was half way across when i saw a car approaching at speed and i naturally thought he would slow down and stop.... wrong ,i was about to get run over so i had it on my toes and he shaved my backside on his way through  , make sure your well insured cos you never know plus there's more poverty out there than you can poke a stick at , we had beggars follow us every day from the moment we left the hotel to the moment we returned , hopefully Morocco's moved on a bit for the better since my visit so i wish you the very best of luck on your trip , hope i haven't put you off :D
