Aygo Go! Speaker Change

Wanting to upgrade Speakers as quite frankly they are rubbish!

if I change the head unit at the same time will this have any affect on the tom tom sat nav / bluetooth / ipod system thats installed in the AYGO GO!

also any recommendations for Speakers would be good .

oh and fitting guides (unless they are stupidly easy to do )

The OEM radio interacts with the TomTom-system. AFAIK there's no known way (yet) to use this system with a different radio.

On the Dutch forum this discussion is currently running too. I'm hoping someone over here is daring enough to lend me their system for a couple of

hours to do some tests. I need to know w few things befor I cn go into this matter any deeper, but it might well be possible with some sort of adapter-lead...

From what i can make out the only interaction from a user point of view is that you have to press the aux button if somethings plugged in (tom tom / usb) so pretty standard really .

Im in toyota on saturday morning and will ask some questions with the technicians..

I have NO hands-on experience with this system, but I was told you can

use the Next/Previous buttons of the radio to skip songs and such.

And I know the rear-AUX-in will only activate on serial communication on a couple of pins.

Allthough the latter is not really of importance if you're going to replace the radio with another model...

Spoke to technician today . He said it was as easy as just replacing a normal head unit with normal jack cables .

No i havent yet , really want to sort something soon tho .. the standard audio stuff is terrible!
