2001 D4D Egr Cleaning And Parts ?

Hi there.

Can anyone point me to where on this forum someone did the photos and instructions for cleaning an EGR valve for the above - I've just spent 30 minute searching and cant find it anywhere !

Also, what parts (e.g. gaskets etc) will I need

Hi Mate if you type into the search box E.G.R. CLEANING you should be able to find it ok. Iv`e seen `em and they are very good pic`s best of luck with the cleaning job it will make a big difference to the way the car performs ( so 1 believe, haven`t had to do mine yet, but checked it out on here just in case )

I posted one last year for my 2003 D4D Avensis mate.

I would think this would be more relevant to you than the later 180 BHP info.

Hi all

Specifically ta to avensisnut (tried the search suggestion, got lost in replys AGAIN !),Mistermena and Big Kev which gave me a very good idea of what to be doing, and finally Rossi46 (qualified 12th!) which has helped considerably.

Now its down to my Toyota dealer to get fleeced purchase the relevant gaskets.

I'll also try to post photos of how I get on, but no promises
