Hi all,

Not been on for a while but thought I would share with you all the pics taken of my T180 after this weekends work done

I trusted my Rav in the hands of Chris from TDinternational (Total Detailing) and he carried out an enhancement detail of my car inside and out, have to tell you the results were superb, clayed and machine polished and polished to a very high standard.

Chris complimented on my keeping of the car in perfect condition for it's age (2006) and the Toyota paint being extremely soft but this is known in detailing circles.

Wow... Looks the Dogs mate. I've just done mine. Used Autoglym HD and its just the best stuff I've ever used.

That looks fantastic. Better than a 'showroom shine'

Looks spot on mate

Did ours myself a week last Saturday & it took me 7 hours to clay bar it all & then use 3 different kinds of Meguiars wax to get the paintwork as smooth as a baby's bum and so clean that you could eat your dinner off it.

You would not believe the amount of crap that came off the paintwork with the clay bar, especially the bonnet.

The wife reckons I have OCD when it comes to keeping our motors clean, but I just like the job satisfaction of seeing them looking like the dogs danglies :D

It does look sharp doesn't it!

7 hours......Takes me that long to wash mine but it is a long way to carry the bucket to the car from the tap  and the last two hours of that are spent with shovel and wheelbarrow getting the resultant mud and Concentrated Recycled Animal Protein off the drive afterwards. :horse:

What clay bar did you use? I bought a cheap Halfords one as it was offer. But I think I'll go for Bilt Hammer next time. Took me 6 hours to do my Avensis :censor:

Jet washed using Nilfisk and then Snow Foam then wash and HD polished to finish off. Paint is lovely and smooth now.

My Mrs thinks I'm OCD when it comes to keeping the car clean. But as I keep telling her I've got nothing on the lads from detailing World!

Thanks for the compliments guys, could not help grinning to myself today as the sun was reflecting off it beautifully and I was getting some admiring glances.

Of all the detailing materials used the car smells brand new again which I have to say is very pleasant.

Not sure which clay he used but when I clay myself I use bilt hamber, I do know he applied two coats of zymol and achieved 80% paint correction, which eliminated my swirl marks.

Check out his website TDinternational.co.uk

Meguiars alll the way - look for the quik clay detailing system - 2 x 25g clay bars + a bottle of detailer spray/clay lube.

Their car wash shampoo & conditioner & range of polish is top notch - far better than Autoglym in my opinion.

There is a deal on a Halfords at the moment 3 for 2 and all the Meguiars stuff is part of the deal - I have just topped up my stash

Another Welshy on here, cool!

I've never used Meg's tbh. But the Autoglym HD is fab stuff. I've used alot of other wax and polish. But this stuff gets my vote. Great reviews on Detaling World. But there again so does Meguiars. So I giess its down to personal choice at the end of the day.

I'm not sure if you've done this or not. But have you painted the calipers? I think a nice metalic dark grey would look amazing against those shinny alloys
