Whining Noise After A New Clutch N Dmf Fitted

Hi There

I picked up my Rav 4 diesel, 2003 3 door on Saturday, after they installed a new clutch/dmf.

After I drove the car for about 20 miles, I stopped at the traffic lights, held it on the clutch in 1st gear, and when I pulled away it made a whining noise, after that it never did it anymore than day.

Yesterday, went out for the day and no noise until I stopped the car for a fw hours, and got back in, and when I put my foot on the clutch, the noise started again, until I took my foot off the clutch. Again this morning, I put my foot on the clutch, turned the key to warm the coils, and then started the car, again the car made the whining noise.

I am dropping it back with the car dealer tonight, so they can take it back to the garage that fitted the clutch etc... but it would be helpful if anyone else has had the same issues after the

dmf was replaced with the conversion kit dmf.

Many Thanks

Nicki

Sounds like a clutch release bearing? What was the make of clutch and DMF you use?

Welcome to the forum !!

Hope you get things sorted out..... if not, then try a good personal Protective equipment store to get a high quality set of earplugs
