HELLO IM NEW TO THIS SITE JUST BOUGHT TOYOTA LAND CRUISER PRADO 2.4 TD AUTO IM WELL MADE UP WITH THE CAR .HOWEVER ITS DOING MY HEAD IN NOT BEING ABLE TO FIN ANY INFORMATION ON IT ITS GOT A TURBO TIMER ON DONT KNOW HOW TO USE IT .ECT BUTTON WOTS IT SHORT FOR ,WOTS IT DO,WHEN DO I NEED TO USE IT,DOES IT USE MORE FUEL WHEN IN USE.CAM BELT CHANGE AT WOT INTERVALS AND SO ON ANYONE HELP A SUICIDAL NEW OWNER OF A IMPORT PLEASE CHEERS

Hi Dyson 2004, i'm the sme as you, just got me a imported land cruiser prado ex 1991 2.4 td, and im asking the same questions, dont know what half the buttons are for, you had any joy in finding anything out, i'm still looking, if i find anything i'll ast it on, cheers Alan

Cambelt change is 60,000 miles or 100.000 km, and ECT is like a sports mode it holds the revs higher in each gear, and before you ask the red button on the gear shift is so that you can move the gear shift when the keys are out, used when servicing and you need to roll the vehicle.

Turbo timer is so that you can leave the engine running and get out and walk away, it will turn the engine off at a set time, as the turbo needs to cool down after being run and this saves you sitting in the vehicle letting the engine idle for a few minutes, but beware leaving a vehicle running on the road is illegal in this country.
