Hi i have an error code on my auto changer error code 1. Can anyone please offer me advice on how to fix it. Thank you

Not sure I can help much remotely. This is the under-seat changer isn't it?

I assume all the discs are seated properly in the cartridge and the cartridge is loading nicely when you put it in. You can normally hear it checking for the presence of each of the six discs in turn when the cartridge is first loaded.

I expect it won't help, but it might be worth just pulling the wiring connector out under the seat, waiting a few seconds and then re-inserting.

Other than that, If it were me, I'd probably have the thing apart and look at the optical pickup assembly, in the vain hope it is just something simple like muck on the lens. Not everybody wants to or can do that though.

My transmission is manual. the changer is situated under the passenger seat. I can see it loading in the discs and when you turn it on it gives 3 small ticks then error 1 appears.

it seems I have misunderstood the meaning of "disc" -- I thought you talked about friction discs belong to an auto transmission gear. Sorry mate to be disable to help. Good luck/Igor
