Looks good, washed mine yesterday, only washed. As is normally the case afterwards, it rained today!

I would recommend using a lambswool wash mitt rather than a sponge though. I find there is a reduced risk of "swirlmarks" and retaining grit which can sometimes happen with a sponge. Similarly with a chamois, I prefer a microfibre towel.

Just done mine too:

In the next few weeks i need to get some tar and bug remover on a few areas, clay bar the whole car, and polish/seal/wax it all over, and if i get a chance the wheels will be coming off for a full clean and i will apply some wheel sealant and paint the calipers red.

Sometime this year i want to get the wheels powder coated white, but everytime i have a bit of spare cash, something swallows it up for me.

(sorry if i hajaked the thread)

Guys,on the red ones you should use autoglym super resin polish to clean paint then apply poorboys blachole glaze to add oils and fillers for deep wet shine and top it all off with autoglym hd wax to protect the above and add that wee bit extra depth of shine and then coat glass with rain-x.it will look the dangly bits of the dog.

True, but I'm not going to a show with it. Personally I can't stand Rain-X, makes the wipers stick and is a pain in the ***** in light rain :crybaby:

I don't rate Autoglym products that highly, and would use Megs instead if i was going to use a low end product.

Rainex makes no difference at all to the appearance of the glass unless it has rained, but i do use it on mine simply because it reduces wear on the wipers when driving above 30.

Autoglym products are excellent if used properly,a small amount of super resin polish on a pad if worked in until nearly clear will work wonders and will leave no dusty residue, same goes for rain-x,clean glass, apply twice ,leave to dry for a hour,go over with a damp piece of paper towel then buff up with dry towel.the big mistake people make is using to much of a product, a little goes a long way.

I'm not saying its a bad product, i just think there are better products out there that are easier to use and have equal or better results.

But each to our own, and the ultimate goal is decent protection and a nice finish, regardless of the brand of products.

I'm interested by the waterless cleaners you can buy, think I may test one at some point and compare the results... anyone used one before?

I use the megs quick detailer mostly during the summer. It does a good job. Car needs a proper clean, wash wax etc to get it sorted first. Then every few weeks or if there sap/bird poo on it I give it quick spray and wipe and it comes up nice.
