4.2 D4D Tte Performance Kit

I have the option of buying a TTE performance kit for about £170. I've read up on these kits, but haven't found much about this one in particular. Seller states that it should be installed behind the glove compartment and in 5-10 minutes. Reports on this forum tells me the wires usually goes somewhere close to the commonrail and that it takes an hour or two because it's so hard to reach the plugs. Is that true for all kits or does this vary a lot?

The seller and PDFs I've found state that I will see an increase in power from 116BHP/85kW to 140BHP/103kW and 250Nm to 295Nm of torque. Are these figures a little optimistic, or are they accurate? Will the kit put a dangerously high stress on the engine or car in general or is it within acceptable limits? From what I understand TTE makes (or made?) original equipment for Toyota, so this is what I would get from my dealer as well?

Car is a 2003 D4D which has done 127 300 km (79 100 miles). DMF and SCVs replaced, and it runs well.

I am told the original TTE kit is made by Van Aerkan, for toyota, so you may get more info by searching their site,My brother has a Tunit "chip" on his 2002 rav and TBH it took 3 attempts for them to get it right but all is now well.the TTE one at that price seems a bargain and as its toyota approved should be well within any stress levels set by toyota (but then they all are) I have a kit supplied by one of our members on here (PARTS KING)on my 2007 d4d and it has been faultless (3yrs 16000mls) hope this helps however i believe the installation on your RAV is a bit more difficult  Why not ask your dealer or a knowledgable garage if you are unsure? Stew
