Can some one help me please.

Got a celica 2.0 GT 1998 and I keep loosing power when I put my foot on the accelerator. when I was driving home from work it happened so I pulled of the motorway and stalled the car on slip road at traffic lights. Restarted the engine and it was fine will 20 minutes in to the drive. It also kangaroos when pulling of in 1st and 2nd gear (on when I have quarter of a tank left).

could be crap on the fuel pick up in the tank ???????? pure guess mind ya . but if its ok for a while after shutting off the engine sujests to me that the suction stops and the crap build up falls off the pick up pipe. may be worthwhile having the fuel filter changed also !!!
