Most modern phones have firmware installed, and as the updates become available, things like bluetooth radio's are upgraded to work with newer accesories.

If your phone isn't up to date with its firmware, then this might be the reason.

I don't know much about that handset, but i think Nokia have an update system in place if you sync your phone to your laptop (assuming you have the cable and software installed).

Possibly a time out on the phone? My HTC Hero had an auto disconnect feature as it didn't detect the Auris as a headset, disabled that feature and it works fine now... possibly a similar issue here?

Crasstoe how did you disable the auto disconnect feature on your HTC? I have the Desire (firmware all up to date) and have problems with "bluetooth link loss...please wait while the connection is restored." on my 2010 Auris SR. It does my nut in as the bluetooth system develops tourettes as it goes into an endless cycle until I switch off the bluetooth on the phone :censor:

It was a fix done by rooting the phone (I had to root in order to update to Android 2.1 as Orange were not pushing any updates past 1.5 to the HTC Hero)

Runs a HTC Wildfire OS so I couldn't comment really... I will investigate for you...

Thanks, I really hate the fact that some networks will not pass on all the updates. Thought my firmware was up to date with 2.14.207.3, now I realise 2.29.405.2 was released in December 2010 :crybaby:
