Hey everyone first timer here,My toyota avenesis d4d has a rattling sound under the bonnet at idle speed and goes when driving but when you lay off the trottle you can hear it again even while driving, some one said it might be the compressor for the air-con any ideas and help would be brilliant

Hi welcoe to toc.do you get the noise when air cons off.are the drive belt/tensioner slack.

is air cleaner secure.could be something loose making the noise.

hello mate

check with all injectors performance and have them calibrated on the fuel stand simulating their work on the engine.

You have an over fueling effect sounding like hummer/rattle

Cheers/Igor

I logged into this forum just to find some answer about the exactly same problem you have there. It started doing that since yesterday. My car is 2004 d4d 101200 mileage. Some other forums mentioned that it could be DMF(or clutch) but I had it changed just a few months ago for £1550.(I know it sounds a lot, and still repaying the credit card). Please please please update how you get along with your diagnosis.
