2 Years after we fixed ours by just adding a bigger washer and there is still no problem. Ther rattling nature of the Auris is doing that. Here I know of 3 more Auris diesels that had the same problem and the same fix - bigger washer on the screw that is holding the heatguard.

Can't you just bend it back into position away from what it rattles against heat shields are common for this noise and just need re bent or cable tied as other member says

Thanks for your responses. As mentioned above the shield has been replaced now. It is right next to the fuel tank so needs to be right.
