Problem With Height Adjustable Driver Seat

I've got a problem with the height adjustable drivers seat where the handle that makes the seat go up and down has come off and it is locked in the down position (which is not great as I can't see over the steering wheel).

Took it into the dealer and they say may have to replace the whole seat and would be £500. However, I was wondering if its quite easy to get a new seat from a breakers yard and replace yourself. Or do you need special tools?

Thanks in advance for the help

You don't need special tools, just Torx bits, spanners and a socket set I would assume. The seat is just bolted through the floor and the airbag can be unplugged. It might be worth seeing if you could just get the handle from a breakers yard, it'd be easier than lugging a new seat around.
