Hi all... a little bit of advice is needed from a guru or 2 would be lovly.

I recently purchased a mk3 supra 1989 3.0i turbo.

now iv bought this car for 2 reasons always loved the supra when i was young and now its high time to get myself one, and the second reason i want to have fun in it.

now for the long old question.....

im told the intercoolers on the mk3 are weak as theres preasure lose when u your driving hard... is there an intercooler recomended to stop this or is there anything i have to look for on the open market to get an upgraded one.

i dont want to do any major improvments to the engine but is there any little tweaks i can do myself that will help improve it overal on the road?

im only a novice mechanic so i can do somthings myself but i have a pocket mechanic whos eiger to play around with my baby but im slightly apprehensive as i know he had a supra himself years ago. (why did i get worried when i pulled up outside his workshop and his eyes light up when he saw my supra)

The intercoolers are not great, but they are not weak.

If the car is standard you would be better off doing a decent coolant flush, change the stat, make sure the radiator and rad cap are tip top.
