Hi all

Thanks to the wonders of eBay and a very good deal I have managed to get hold of a pair of Corbeau seats...

They feel amazing, with your a*se on the floor the gear stick is effectively raised and feels like a much

better driving position. They are much more comfy than the standard seats and about half the weight. Just

a few pictures, hope you like!

Also many thanks to PaulT for his advice!

 They look excellent, I'm surprised you managed to squeeze them in.

Thanks very much!

I did have to make some custom mounting plates but wasn't too tricky!

They fit rather well... how about two mountain bikes......?

what have you done about the side air bags?is your air bag light on?this year on the mot an air bag light will be a fail..

I've soldered a resistor to the connector... No warning light as it thinks the airbags are still connected!

was just wondering because if you didnt know how to get the light to go out i would have told you how to do it..

Ah that's cool thanks!

Is there another way other than what I've done?

Yes, an expensive one: fit bucket seats with side airbags in them...

Else the only way I know of is fitting the resistors as you did...

Yea I'm definitely not going to spend more money on something I don't think is necessary, especially with stronger seats now!

Thought there may be a way of doing it in a similar way to turning the seatbelt sensor off... but I guess it was never intended for side air bags to be removed!

The seatbelt-sensor is just a reminder on our cars: it turns on the light and buzzer, but that's it.

On some more expensive cars thay vary the inflation of the airbags when you don;t wear the seatbelt.

For the Airbags the light only signals an error in the system,

as it does a diagnostic every time you power up the car.

When the it lights up there IS an error and AFAIK the

system will NOT operate if you get into an accident...

They look REALLY smart. I wanted something similar as when i drive like a YOOF (of which i am) i slide about a bit.

Thanks. They are ten times more comfy on long journeys too! I used to get back ache sitting in the standard seats but I haven't once since fitting these!

Makes spirited driving much more comfortable... as you say I used to have to brace my knees against the heater dial when cornering to stop myself sliding off!

I do that. Haha.

I know this is an old post but is there any chance I could have a picture of the bracket you made? I have some MOMO seats to go in.

Also with the resister, is there a thread which describes how to trick it?

Cheers. E
