Hello everybody. Can't wait till Thursday when I pick up my early 08 SR180.Had a 1.6sr Auris a couple of years ago.Good little car except the engine was a bit gutless.Been driving between a 09 Verso 1.8TR and a Starlet 1.3 for the last couple of years. Can't wait to get my hands on the 2.2 engine and see what it really goes like.Have been reading this forum for the last couple of days and must say there is a wealth of info on this site.

Thanks Steve.

Picked up car yesterday from London, nice steady drive home but gave it some a few times.Mid range punch was very impressive, felt flat low down on initial throttle pick up though.Anyway first thing this morning off with the egr valve.Sure enough the valve was pretty coked up.Cleaned it all up refitted and reset the ecu. After a few coughs and farts it started and I went for a quick spin round the block.Noticed an immediate improvement in throttle response and much cleaner through the gears.Been out a few times today and seems to improve with every drive.Very happy with car already, will have to work some overtime now to pay for a tuning chip.

Cheers Steve.

Glad you are happy with the car, and well done for cleaning the EGR out straight away.

It was the first thing i did to mine back in November, and was well worth the effort.

Try and keep away from supermarket fuel and it should stay clean for a bit longer.
